No 52 - Kên - Keeping Still

Only by achieving true quiet can you begin to move forward again. While Buddhism strives for rest through an ebbing away of all movement in nirvana, the I Ching posits that rest and stillness are complementary to movement. True quiet means keeping still when the time has come to keep still, and going forward when the time has come to go forward. In the calm you will connect with your deeper self without any past regrets or future worries and make the right decisions for the forward movement.
