Interpretation.
Dark ruling principles, rigid and immovable, can be penetrated by the light principle, to which it subordinates in gentleness. In nature, it is the wind that disperses the gathered dark clouds, leaving the sky clear and serene. In human life, it is the penetrating clarity of calm judgement that thwarts dark hidden motives. Success is achieved by small steps, producing gradual and inconspicuous effects. Results of this kind are less striking than those won by a surprise attack, but they are more complete and more enduring. To produce such effects, one must have a clearly defined goal, for only when the penetrating influence works always in the same direction can the objective be attained.
